The Seti Khola is a tributary of the Saptagandaki river system of central Nepal. The set-in point for this two-day rafting trip is near the village of Damauli, easily accessible by a shortish road journey from Kathmandu, and an even shorter one from Pokhara. The trip offers relatively gentle rafting at first, as the river flows through a forested canyon which is a mere vestige of the vast area of forest which once covered Nepal’s middle hills.

Soon after, encounters are made with more exciting rapids, which are a prelude to the technical rapid, Grade III+, which occurs before the Seti Khola merges with the Trisuli. Here the scenery changes radically, as earlier severe and twisted rock formations give way to gentler sandstone and gravel deposited by antecedent rivers. The trip will end at Gaighat, in readiness for onward travel, either to Kathmandu, or to Chitwan.
